Flughafen - Munich Airport

🚲✈️ Mit dem Rad zum Flughafen – heute mal ganz ohne Koffer 😄

Unsere heutige Tour führte uns über Oberschleißheim, die Garchinger Radlautobahn und weiter an der Isar entlang Richtung Flughafen München. 🚲☀️

Unterwegs haben wir noch eine kleine Pause in Garching eingelegt - bei der @kistenpfennigfamilienbaeckerei

Am Flughafen angekommen, war aber noch nicht Schluss – dort haben wir noch eine Runde gedreht. Denn rund um den Flughafen kann man tatsächlich richtig cool radeln und teilweise sogar zwischen den Rollfeldern entlangfahren. 🚲✈️

Und das absolute Highlight für uns Flugzeug-Gucker: 😍

✈️ Wir haben gleich ZWEIMAL einen Lufthansa A380 starten sehen! ✈️

Immer wieder beeindruckend, wenn so ein riesiger Flieger direkt vor einem abhebt – und definitiv ein kleines Highlight unserer heutigen Tour. 🥰

Danach kam noch der vermutlich ungewöhnlichste Teil des Tages:

Mit den Fahrrädern durchs Flughafenterminal. 😂🚲✈️

Keine Koffer, kein Check-in und leider auch kein Flug für uns 😉 – wir wollten nur zur S-Bahn.

Also mit den Rädern durchs Terminal, ab zur S-Bahn und von dort ganz entspannt wieder zurück nach Hause. 🚆🏠

Am Ende standen heute ca. 50 km auf dem Tacho und wir haben festgestellt, dass wir beide - @illini89 und ich - im August noch die 600 km schaffen werden. 🚲💪

Zur Belohnung gab es noch leckere Pizza am Abend - gemütlich auf der Couch 👍.

🚲✈️ Cycling to the airport – without any luggage today! 😄

Today’s tour took us via Oberschleißheim, the Garching cycle highway and along the Isar towards Munich Airport. 🚲☀️

On the way, we stopped for a little break in Garching at @kistenpfennigfamilienbaeckerei ☕🥐

Once we arrived at the airport, our ride wasn’t over yet – we did an extra loop around the airport. You can actually cycle really close to the runways there, and some of the cycle paths even take you between the airfield areas. 🚲✈️

And the absolute highlight for us plane spotters: 😍

✈️ We got to see TWO Lufthansa A380s taking off! ✈️

It’s always impressive to see such a huge aircraft taking off right in front of you – definitely one of the highlights of today’s ride. 🥰

Then came probably the most unusual part of the day:

Walking our bikes through the airport terminal. 😂🚲✈️

No luggage, no check-in and unfortunately no flight for us 😉 – we were just heading for the S-Bahn.

So, bikes through the terminal, onto the train and then a nice and easy journey back home. 🚆🏠

By the end of the day, we had added around 50 km to our cycling total. 🚲💪

And we realised that both @illini89 and I are going to make it to 600 km in August! 🥳🚲

And after all those kilometres, we definitely deserved our reward:

🍕 Delicious pizza and a relaxing evening on the couch! 👍😄
